I have been using this pan on a regular basis for about fourteen days now and I can say it’s met all my demands than it. Eggs and bacon are usually cooked to be able to perfection without burning possibly. It gets hot quickly, and lower temperature works for most foods. I like the truth that the heat is contained in the pan and doesn’t warm up the area like gas or electric stove top burners do. The top is deep enough to allow you to cook a little chicken or roast. The final test I needed to do was fry pancakes as you reviewer said it wouldn’t get hot enough to do it. Well, I has been amazed at how nicely it do fry pancakes. Using slim batter was a lot better than thick, but that fried either one to a golden brownish. As much as I’m concerned it is a top top quality product and will do whatever you require than it. The heat control is within degrees instead of warm moderate and large as a few of the others I’ve looked at. That characteristic came within handy with all the pancakes since the instructions were to preheat to be able to 375 levels. Well, that’s what Used to do and it was perfect. Cleanup can be a breeze due to the non-stick surface area, and the whole pan could be immersed within water without any harm or danger. I can’t imagine just what else I might want it to do. I would suggest this product and will buy that again when it fails after having a reasonable amount of time.
Update, October ’08. After 8 weeks of no stop make use of, some with the non-stick surface area is starting to bubble. Read the particular warnings carefully, it informs you to not allow it soak within water. I didn’t allow it soak, but We let foods stand inside it sometimes right away. I’ve ceased doing which, and there’s no more deterioration with the surface. I will still rate it extremely, and be more careful in the future. I guess I recently didn’t consider a non-stick surface could possibly be harmed through food sitting on it over night. Live and learn I assume.
Update. December ’08. Well last week I scraped off other “non-stick” coating. I has been worried that when I didn’t I might be eating it. It began coming away in huge pieces a couple weeks ago. So, the coating is not very good. I have got several non-stick pans and pots that are several years old but nevertheless have the particular non-stick surface area intact. Still, the electric skillet operates good, but you need to use essential oil or spray when cooking food or it will stick for the pan. Beware, the non-stick products they use just isn’t what you’re used to be able to seeing in the pan. Still use it almost daily though:). Read more
